Economic strategies
and plans


Since 2017, SEMLEP has published five core economic strategies and plans for the South East Midlands. We continue to work with government and other partners to develop evidence-based plans to help realise the growth potential of local places and businesses across the area.  

 

On behalf of partners, SEMLEP commissioned independent consultants, Icini Projects to complete a sector review of warehousing and logistics in the South East Midlands.

SEMLEP has a role in securing strategic investment in the area. Up to 2022/23, the Partnership was responsible for overseeing the spend of two main sources of growth funding.

Investments programme

SEMLEP works with many partners to deliver investment in the South East Midlands. In this section, we feature projects that secured investment allocated to SEMLEP through the government's Growth Deal and Getting Build Fund  programme, as well as the 2014-2020 European Growth Programme, including the European Social Fund and Education and Skills Funding Agency awards.
