Group Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, Nene Group Plc.

(MSc, PGDip, FIEMA, FIFST, FIIRSM)

For the past 25 years, Sharon has been working in the field of ISO auditing, with her focus on Environmental Management systems, Risk and Health & Safety.

Sharon has joined the Nene Group PLC as the Group Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to support all the businesses under the Nene Group umbrella manage their risks, continually improve their performance, and prevent pollution. Compliance is becoming increasingly complicated with product and EHS regulations increasing worldwide, so Sharon is working with large retailers to ensure that environmental sustainability becomes embedded into the supply chain. Only by working on solutions to reduce greenhouse gases within the warehouse, rack manufacturing and installation will there be the chance for a transition to Net Zero

Sharon’s passion for climate change continues as an Environmental Broadcaster and judge for Green Awards where she actively encourages businesses and the public to develop an understanding about how they can make behavioural changes to reduce their impact. Sharon continues to pass on her Entrepreneurial business knowledge to several CIC’s, education establishments and entrepreneurs through her talks about environmental management, risk management, health, and safety.
